Episode 3 – The Book Left by Her Family
After escaping from the underground temple, Nova returned home and locked the door behind her.
That night, she couldn't sleep.
The fortune teller's words...
The mysterious man from her dreams...
The underground temple...
And the more than 150 stone coffins...
Everything kept spinning through her mind.
Nova whispered to herself:
— There must be an explanation for all of this...
Just before dawn, she suddenly remembered an old chest she hadn't opened in years.
The chest had belonged to her family.
Nova got out of bed and opened it.
Inside, she found old clothes, several photographs, and yellowed pages.
But at the very bottom...
There was a large, heavy book.
Nova picked it up.
The symbol on its cover made her freeze.
It was the same symbol she had seen inside the underground temple.
Nova's hands began to tremble.
— How is this possible?
She opened the book.
The first pages contained strange writings about her family's past.
Nova continued reading.
Then suddenly, she heard a voice behind her:
— You found it.
Nova turned around in fear.
Valeriy was standing inside her room.
Nova stepped backward.
— How did you get in here?
Valeriy calmly replied:
— I followed you.
— Stay away from me!
Valeriy looked at the book.
— We need to read it.
Nova hesitated.
Then she handed the book to him.
Valeriy began turning the pages.
After reading several pages, the expression on his face changed.
Nova immediately asked:
— What happened?
Valeriy took a deep breath.
— They lied to us.
Nova stared at him.
— Who?
— The ancient records in the temple.
Valeriy continued reading.
Then he looked at Nova.
— You don't have to sacrifice yourself to break the curse.
Nova's eyes widened.
— What?
Valeriy pointed to the book.
— The real ritual is written here.
Nova nervously asked:
— What do I have to do?
Valeriy answered:
— You must stand on the symbol in the center of the temple.
Nova listened carefully.
— Then?
— You only need to cut one finger.
Nova looked at her hand.
Valeriy continued:
— One drop of your blood must fall onto the symbol.
Nova took a deep breath.
— And then?
— You will read the verses written in this book.
Nova was silent for a moment.
Then she asked the question she feared the most:
— I won't die?
Valeriy shook his head.
— No.
Nova finally relaxed.
She picked up the book.
— Then what are we waiting for?
Valeriy looked at her.
— Aren't you afraid?
Nova closed her eyes and took a deep breath.
Then she looked at Valeriy.
— I am afraid. But now I know what I'm afraid of.
The two of them prepared to return to the underground temple.
But they didn't know that breaking the curse would change everything...
