Episode 2 – The Underground Temple
The next day, Nova couldn't stop thinking about the strange dream and the fortune teller's words.
Especially those words...
“Your blood will awaken them...”
Nova decided to find out what they meant.
As soon as she left work, she went back to the fortune teller's shop.
But when she arrived, she couldn't believe her eyes.
The shop was gone.
There was no door.
No window.
And no old woman.
It was as if the shop had never existed.
Nova looked around in confusion.
— How is this possible?
Suddenly, she heard a woman's voice behind her:
— The answer you're looking for is underground.
Nova quickly turned around.
But there was no one there.
The mysterious voice only made her more determined.
Thinking about the fortune teller's words, Nova decided to go to an abandoned area outside the city.
The place had been deserted for many years.
As she walked between the ruins of old stone walls, she noticed a strange symbol on the ground.
Nova stopped.
The symbol looked strangely familiar.
It looked almost exactly like the birthmark on her hand.
Nova knelt down and touched it.
Suddenly, her hand began to burn.
— Ah!
She quickly pulled her hand away.
At that exact moment, the ground began to shake.
Cracks appeared beneath her feet.
Nova tried to move backward.
But it was too late.
The ground collapsed beneath her.
Nova fell into a dark void.
She was dragged deeper and deeper underground.
Finally, she hit a hard stone floor.
When she opened her eyes, she found herself in a huge underground hall.
Hundreds of torches were burning along the walls.
But the most terrifying thing was what surrounded her...
More than 150 stone coffins.
Nova slowly stood up.
— Where am I?
Then she noticed a large stone platform in the center of the hall.
Someone was lying on it.
Nova's heart began to race.
She knew that man.
It was the same man from her dreams.
Nova whispered:
— You...
The man's eyes slowly opened.
Nova stepped back in fear.
The man stood up and looked directly at her.
Finally, he spoke:
— You finally came.
Nova asked with a trembling voice:
— Who are you?
The man calmly replied:
— Valeriy.
Nova immediately asked:
— Why did you bring me here?
Valeriy shook his head.
— I didn't bring you here.
— Then who did?
Valeriy looked at Nova's hand.
His eyes stopped on her birthmark.
Then he said:
— Your blood did.
Nova's face went pale.
She remembered the fortune teller's words.
“Your blood will awaken them...”
Nova looked at the stone coffins.
— What's happening here?
Valeriy pointed toward them.
— They have been sleeping for years.
Nova swallowed nervously.
— Who?
Valeriy looked at her.
— My people.
Nova's eyes widened.
Suddenly...
Knock...
A faint sound came from inside one of the stone coffins.
Nova froze.
Valeriy's expression suddenly changed.
Then a whisper echoed from the darkness:
— They're waking up...
Nova held her breath.
Valeriy turned toward her.
— It's already too late.
