*Episode 1: The Man in the Fog*

Episode 1: The Man in the Fog

London’s streets fell into silence after midnight.

Thick fog swallowed the glow of the streetlamps, settling over the city like a ghost. Near the Thames River, police sirens echoed through an old warehouse.

When Detective Elias arrived at the scene, dozens of officers were already there.

“Elias, you need to see this,” said forensic specialist Olivia Hart.

Elias ducked under the yellow tape and stepped inside the warehouse.

The place was eerily order, too orderly.

A single chair stood in the center.

And on the chair… the victim.

But there wasn’t a single random detail on the victim.

Everything looked calculated.

Olivia spoke quietly.

“No fingerprints.”

“DNA?”

“None.”

“Witnesses?”

“None.”

Elias frowned.

A murder this flawless wasn’t normal.

Right then, a small mark on the wall caught his eye.

An old compass symbol drawn in red ink.

No one knew what it meant.

But the killer had left it on purpose.

As if he wanted it to be found.

…

At the same hour, on the other side of the city, Adrian Volkov sat by the fireplace.

An old map lay in his hands.

While classical music played softly, he took a sip of tea.

A breaking news report ran on the TV.

“Police are investigating a new murder.”

Adrian smiled faintly.

No one noticed the expression on his face.

Because to everyone, he was a respected psychiatrist.

Helpful.

Kind and brilliant.

No one would ever think to suspect him.

But in Adrian’s mind, completely different thoughts were playing out.

He was planning his next move.

And for the first time, someone had caught his attention.

Detective Elias Mercer.

“Elias…” he whispered.

“Let’s see how far you can go.”

That night, as fog drifted over London, hunter and hunted became aware of each other for the first time.

But who was the prey, and who was the hunter… that was still unclear.
