Ashley was doing more research about Monica Paul on the internet. She came across a title: “What happened to Monica Paul? Where might she have been killed?” It was on a mystery blog. She clicked and read it.
Monica Paul, aka the last Blue Moon Vampire. As mystery hunters, we all know she was killed by an unknown person in 1975. Some investigators have suggested possible places where Monica Paul might have been killed:
List of places:
- Black Hollow Manor
- Mistwood Glen
- Hampstead Heath
- Waltham Abbey / Upshire
Ashley searched these places one by one. Black Hollow Manor was surrounded by swamps and dense woods. “I don’t think anyone could live in a place like this. Even a vampire,” Ashley thought.
Mistwood Glen had only a few houses with very few people. “She wouldn’t find enough blood to feed herself if she lived here.” Hampstead Heath was similar.
That left only one possible place where Monica Paul could have lived;
Waltham Abbey /Upshire.
Ashley immediately got ready and traveled there. The villages were quiet, with only a few scattered houses. She walked through and found the village Upshire. Something immediately caught her attention: only one house was illuminated; the others were dark and seemingly abandoned.
She approached the lit house and knocked on the door. A very old man opened it. Before he could speak, Ashley locked eyes with him and whispered, “You’ll let me search this house.” The old man obeyed without hesitation, stepping aside to let her in.
The interior was small but cozy—a sofa, a TV, and a coffee table in the living room. The kitchen was equally tiny, with only an oven and a few cabinets. As Ashley explored, she noticed a door leading to the basement. She descended and found a dusty, old box in the corner, filled with ancient tools and personal items.
Inside, she discovered a notebook titled “The Diary of Monica Paul.” Ashley’s heart raced. She took the notebook with her and continued rifling through the box. She found a portrait of Monica Paul with a baby girl. On the back of the portrait, written in faded ink, were the words: “Me and my baby…”
“This baby… could it be?” Ashley whispered to herself, her heart pounding.
Suddenly, a shiver ran down her spine. “OUCH! What was that? Wait… Amora… my family!”
Meanwhile, at the house of Charlie and John
John and Charlie were sitting in the living room, talking about Ashley, when their conversation was abruptly interrupted by a knock at the door.
“Who could that be at this hour?” Charlie whispered. They exchanged worried glances and slowly approached the door.
“Who is it?” John asked.
“I am a friend of your daughter, Ashley,” an unknown female voice replied.
“Well, she is not here,” Charlie said cautiously.
The voice laughed slyly. “I know.”
Charlie and John stepped back, fear freezing them in place. For a tense few moments, neither moved.
“Fine…” the voice said. Suddenly, the front door swung open on its own. Amora stepped inside, her red eyes gleaming with menace.
“Let’s make a deal…” she said, advancing toward them. “You tell me where your daughter is… and I’ll let you live. How does that sound?”
Neither Charlie nor John answered. They were terrified but resolute—they would never betray Ashley.
“I am tired of you two!” Amora shouted, baring her teeth and claws. She lunged toward them, but the front door slammed open with a deafening crash. Two piercing blue eyes shone through the darkness.
“Leave them alone. Now.” Ashley’s voice rang out, calm but commanding, filled with a power that made even Amora hesitate.
