Lyra smiled and nodded.
"That's what I've been waiting to hear."
The three of them started laughing at the same time.
Their conversation had flowed so naturally that they hadn't even realized how close they had gotten to the academy.
The towers in the distance slowly appeared beneath the purple sky.
Elira took a deep breath.
"The headmaster is definitely going to give us another long speech today."
Cyra shrugged.
"Maybe he'll keep it short because it's Lunor Night."
Lyra burst out laughing.
"The headmaster? Keep it short?"
Elira started laughing too.
"Those two words don't even sound right next to each other."
Their laughter had barely faded when Lyra suddenly slowed down.
The smile disappeared from her face.
Her eyes had fixed on something in the distance.
"Wait..."
Elira turned toward her.
"What happened?"
Lyra narrowed her eyes and pointed through the crowd.
"That person coming over there..."
Cyra looked in the same direction.
Her eyebrows slowly rose.
"No way..."
Elira curiously followed their gaze.
Coming through the crowd was Kael, walking toward them with his usual calm stride.
Elira frowned.
"What's wrong?"
Lyra remained silent for a moment.
Then she lightly smacked her forehead.
"Oh, come on..."
She let out a deep sigh.
"He forgot again."
