The Starborn Chronicles

Bölüm 1

The Star-Blessed Child

In the far-flung kingdom of Amaris, where the sea touched the mountains and silver mist wove through emerald forests, a child was born beneath the kiss of the spring sun. The village of Ylirya stood on the edge of the world—where rivers whispered secrets to the moon and wildflowers bloomed in colors never seen by human eyes. Her birth was marked by an eclipse of crystal light—a rare cosmic dance where the moon and sun met in perfect balance. The village seers whispered that such children were bound to the threads of destiny, their lives etched into the celestial tapestry long before their first breath. Her mother named her Selaya, meaning "Daughter of the Hidden Star". The name carried a weight even the wind seemed to understand. Her eyes were the color of twilight—blue touched with streaks of gold, as if the last light of the sun had folded itself into her gaze. On the night she was born, three silver birds perched upon the window ledge, watching the child with knowing eyes. Legends spoke of the Trinal Guardians—messengers of the unseen world, bound to souls destined to walk between the realms of earth and sky. But prophecy is a strange and dangerous thing. It wraps a child in golden promises but seldom speaks of the price that destiny demands. Selaya grew beneath the watchful eye of the stars, never quite belonging to the world of ordinary children. She would wander the whispering woods alone, pressing her small hands to the bark of ancient trees as if listening for their buried memories. Flowers bloomed in her footprints. Animals followed her in silent reverence. Yet there was something wild in her heart—something that neither her mother nor the village elders could tame. "You are bound to the earth, little one," her mother would whisper, brushing Selaya's hair with fingers worn by hard years. "But your heart belongs to the sky." By the time Selaya turned thirteen, the mark of the stars had begun to show. It bloomed along the inside of her left wrist—a faint constellation of freckles in the shape of the seven-sister stars. When moonlight touched her skin, the mark glimmered as if the night itself had left its signature upon her. Rumors spread among the villagers. Some said she was a child of the Old Gods—born to awaken the ancient powers buried beneath the mountains. Others whispered darker things. But Selaya heard none of it. Her heart was restless, pulled by unseen tides toward a destiny she could not yet name. One summer night, as the moon hung heavy and red, Selaya stood at the edge of the black lake where the village's ancient stories were said to be born. A voice echoed through the water—soft, ancient, and endless. "Daughter of the Hidden Star... the world is waiting." Selaya's breath caught in her throat. The reflection in the water did not show her own face—but that of a woman she had never seen before. She was older, wrapped in silver veils, with eyes that mirrored her own. A future self—or perhaps an echo of something that had always existed within her. The voice whispered again. "To follow your fate, you must lose everything." With that, the reflection faded, and the lake went still. But something had already awakened in Selaya's heart—a crack in the quiet life she had always known. In the hidden chambers of the stars, the wheels of destiny began to turn. The first thread had been woven. The journey was beginning.
