**ELYSIAN: THE CITY OF DIVINE INSPIRATION**
**Introduction**
Elysian: A vibe of divine inspiration; peaceful and perfect.
That night, not even the dark could hide the sins of Elysian. The wind howled as if it was carrying the grief of Sacred Spirits. Children, spooked by the screams of the bells, clung to their mom's skirts. The crowd, spilling from the streets between houses, continued without thinning, stretching along the forest and hiding behind the mist of the giant diamond castle's massive door.
The scent of death was fresh, yet among the crowd, not a single person was seen mourning or crying...
Wrinkled, stooped elders feared things could only get worse. Young ones with naïve looks shivered from the uncertainty. Whether the ruler's death was a beacon of new hope or a sign of a greater disaster to come was unknown to all.
Even the three sisters who had just learned of their father's demise...
When the chief scientist informed the chief guard of the ruler's death, the eldest princess, Bilun, had already risen from her warm bed, dressed in her lace-embellished blue dress, placed her diamond crown in her blonde hair, and stood before the mirror. She clasped her hands at her waist, gave herself a once-over, and murmured, "The time has come..." taking a deep breath. Upon teleporting herself to the palace, to the throne room, she saw the golden-embellished coffin. She didn't even consider approaching to take one last look at her father. She moved to the nearest corner of the throne and kept her composure while waiting for the others.
When the wooden doors of the room burst open, and Princess Hesna rushed in wearing her purple nightgown, unlike her sister, she was anxious. Deep down, she believed she needed to soon bless and heal the people, who were bearing the weight of death, with love. With every step closer to the coffin, she slowed down. She was out of breath, yet her heart was heavy. Finally, she grasped the coffin with both hands, putting all her weight into her wrists. She wasn't sad, just... trying to prepare herself for what would come after this death.
Princess Eva, whose arrival went unnoticed by everyone, approached her father's coffin with a hissing laugh. After scanning the stiff body of the old man, she exclaimed, "At last," with joy. She had no qualms about hiding her smile. In her yellow eyes, there was the cunning of a snake slithering towards its prey.
The unusual reactions of the three sisters to their father's death hadn't been much pondered because the man who teleported from Earth to the room, scattering sparkles around, was of more importance. He was oblivious to the stares fixated on him. The death had taken him by surprise. The death of a long-reigning ruler wasn't an event every generation could witness.
Yet, he accepted the chief scientist's order to "Bring the heir to Elysian" with utmost calm. Without another glance at those in the room, he teleported himself to Earth, to the side of the heir.
